How to download Pinterest videos on mobile and PC

Step-by-step guide to save Pinterest videos, GIFs and images in high quality, without watermark, on Android, iPhone and desktop.

  1. 1

    Copy the pin link

Open the pin in the Pinterest app or site, tap the share button and choose 'Copy link'.

  2. 2

    Paste the link into PinSalve

Go back to the PinSalve home page, paste the address in the field and tap Download.

  3. 3

    Choose the quality and save

Select the MP4 format or the original-resolution image and the file is saved straight to your device.

Does it work on iPhone?

Yes. On iPhone the file is saved in the Files app and can be moved to Photos with 'Save video'. On Android the download goes straight to the Downloads folder.

Can private pins be downloaded?

No. Only public pins that anyone can open through the link. Always respect creators' copyright.

What to do when a link does not work

First, open the link in a private browser window. If the pin asks for a login, belongs to a private board or was removed, PinSalve cannot access it.

If the link opens publicly, copy it again from Pinterest's Share menu. Short pin.it links and full pinterest.com pin addresses are supported; profile, search and board pages are not individual pins.

Video quality and file formats

Video pins are provided as MP4 files in the qualities exposed by the public pin. A higher resolution usually looks sharper but uses more storage and mobile data.

Image-only pins are offered in their original available resolution. PinSalve does not upscale, re-encode or add a watermark to the source file.

Save content responsibly

Downloading a public file does not transfer ownership. Keep personal copies where allowed, credit creators and obtain permission before reposting, editing or using their work commercially.
